Check Out My Bling

Yesterday afternoon finally arrived!

I was so excited because this was the day I was going to hang with my longtime pal, Susan, and finally meet  Emma, the woman behind the fantabulous creations at Darling Dilemma.  You need to check out her etsy store!  Go ahead.  I will still be here when you are done shopping.

Oh, and it was also the day I was finally going to see the creation Emma had made just for me.  Read back story here.

It is perfect!!!

I had told her my favourite colour is yellow, but that I also wanted some red in it, and this is what she came up with.

Dear Mr. Level-Headed,
If you enjoyed reading blogs as much as I do, you would know that all the ultra-cool bloggers out there have real cameras, their blogs are filled with pictures they take with their real cameras, and often you will find pictures they take of themselves with their real cameras in hand. Very cool!  Unfortunately, your adorable wife, who has birthed you three super adorable wee Websters and who is desperately trying to create her own unique spot in the blogging hemisphere, uses this sad, little Sony Cyber-Shot.  What kind of name is that?  And, really, how cool can I possibly look holding this camera in my hands?  Darling, I need help!  I need a real camera.  Can you make that happen?
Love ya, babe!

tee hee!

Sorry for that random tangent, but when I see an opportunity, I shamelessly take it.  That's just who I am.

Anyhoo, back to my necklace.

Let's try it with a white tee  . . .

I wonder if people are like trees and you can determine how old they are by counting the rings around their neck.  Can you see that?  Yikes!!!  If I was shallow, Mr. Level-Headed, I would make yet another shameless plea here for a simple nip-and-tuck, but, as we all know, that is just not who I am . . . tee hee!

Thanks Emma for making my necklace. I love it!!!

And thanks Susan for introducing me to Emma and for welcoming my rowdy crowd into your home yesterday.  They are still talking about their adventure, and they have decided to make their trip to the Blue Store a weekly event now that they have figured out the Dorritoe Man's schedule . . . more on this tomorrow :)

Only five more sleeps until school starts . . . eeek!!

  1. It looks like the perfect length! I'm so glad!! Silly us I had my 'real' fancy camera out in the hallway & would've snapped some pictures had I stopped talking long enough to remember!

Wonderful to finally meet you in 'real life'.
